Turning Surplus into Support

Together, we’re feeding communities and fighting food waste — one meal at a time.

Reducing food waste. Nourishing people. Strengthening communities.

How we started

FoodCycle began more than 20 years ago with a small group of volunteers, one grocery store in Beverly Hills, and a women’s shelter in downtown Los Angeles. What started as a simple act of service quickly became something more. As we delivered fresh, healthy food, we witnessed firsthand how access to nourishing meals could restore dignity, support well-being, and bring real comfort to women who rarely had those options. That moment shaped our mission. Today, FoodCycle continues to honor those early roots—moving food with care, purpose, and compassion to nourish both bodies and communities.

OUR MISSION

At FoodCycle, we believe that no good food should go to waste and no one should go hungry. Our mission is simple: to bridge the gap between food surplus and food need. We rescue surplus food and share it with individuals and families experiencing food and security.
