FoodCycle’s California Climate Action Fellow, Katja, is leading a tree and plant installation project in South Los Angeles at Mt. Salem — a site that hosts recurring food distributions and serves a community identified as a food desert. This initiative connects climate resilience with food access by increasing green space, supporting environmental health, and strengthening community well-being.
