Celebrate California Arbor Week (CCAC Event)

🌱 Community Gardening Event – Celebrate California Arbor Week! 🌳

Join us March 27th from 12–3 PM at Mt. Salem Baptist Church (8762 S Central Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90002) for an afternoon of gardening, community building, and giving back. This special event is led by our California Climate Action Fellow, Katja, helping bring more green space to South LA—an area that is both a food desert and lacking in tree cover, making it a hot spot during food distributions.

🌿 Volunteers will also receive a FREE tree to take home and plant as part of California Arbor Week!
To receive a tree, please bring a Photo ID or LADWP bill with an LA address.

☀️ Important:
• Bring sunscreen, a hat, and a water bottle
• It may be hot, so come prepared
• Space is limited and will fill up quickly

Come spend the afternoon gardening, meeting neighbors, and helping grow a greener community.
